The Montecarlo range also includes the Montecarlo R1 carseat. Building on the functionally of the standard Montecarlo R1 is equippedwith an ISOFIX anchoring system for the base of the seat which combined withthe child retention system affords the seat greater stability. Montecarlo R1 also features an adjustable back rest that canbe altered to provide three different recline positions.Due to its ISOFIX connections it has additional safetyfeatures over all other Group 2 & 3 car seats:- The ISOFIX system anchorsthe seat directly to the car thereby eliminating any margin for error wheninstalling the seat there's no need to strap the seat in when not in use asit's always connected by the ISOFIX. Very convenient when dropping your childoff at school or the child minder.Despite falling within the group 2-3 car seat category both Montecarlo and Montecarlo R1 are compatible with a special safety system the XTend that when installed makes the seat suitable for group 1 classification too (available as an optional extra).
