Angel Care AC401 Movement And Sounds Baby Safety Monitor

We purchased this monitor from anawiz through play.com before the birth of our first child in July. We have only recently started using it as she has only just started going to sleep without us in the room. It is a brilliant monitor, allowing you to easily monitor your baby for sound as well as a constant check on their breathing with the motion sensor.

The monitor is sound acitvated so you do not have to listen to static, this also makes it more noticeable when it does click in with even the faintest noise from your child. It can also be set to vibrate when it clicks on so if you have it in your pocket it is noticeable. The receiver part of the monitor is about the size of large mobile phone and fits in your pocket so can be carried with you from room to room with ease.

The motion detector is easily installed under the mattress, although you do need to stand it on a piece of plywood or thick card. The alarm is really loud, as we discovered in the middle of the night when I picked up baby to comfort her forgetting to switch it off and it woke everyone in the house! It does give you a warning beep before the main alarm sounds, allowing you to react and pause it, or get to the cot and see what the problem might be.

It also monitors temperature in the room so without constantly running up and down stairs you can be sure that your baby is warm enough.

I love this monitor and cannot reccomend it enough.
