Goon Show Volume 3 (Series 6, Part 1)

This collection consists of 13 of the first 14 shows of the Sixth Series (from September to December 1955) together with some bonus material, packaged on 7 CDs, accompanied by two booklets of useful information compiled by Andrew Pixley.
The script for the missing show, Foiled by President Fred, is included in the bonus items, as is the script for The Missing Christmas Parcel, a 15 minute special, broadcast in Children's Hour on 8 December 1955.
Other than The Man Who Won the War, these shows have all appeared in previous releases, most recently in Volume 25 (2008) and Volume 26 (2009) of the double CD series. All of these episodes have been digitally remastered by Ted Kendall using the latest in noise-reduction technology.
Among the bonus items is What Goes On, an interview with the Goons recorded at the Hippodrome in Coventry in November 1955 and The Listening Room, a collection of alternate views on popular programmes of the day.
