Spectacular reading of a wonderful story !

I've always loved the early Doctor Who historical stories , and with all episodes of this story missing in visual form this reading is real treat . What makes this so special ? Without doubt the superb reading by Anneke Wills , she really excells herself this time giving us all the character accents from Scots highlander , peasant girl , upper crust english soldier , cockney and German doctor to name but a few . An exciting, passionate and dedicated performance is what we get here . Filled with an array of wonderful colourful characters , the story cracks on full speed and never feels overlong or padded . If you like historical early Doctor Who then you'll love this . But be warned - set yourself aside a free afternoon , once you start listening you'll be hooked !
