When the Tardis arrives on the storm-lashed planet Peladon, the Doctor and Jo are catapulted into the politics of the planet, which is about to join the Galactic Federation. Trouble ensues when a series of mysterious deaths occur - and the Ice Warriors, old enemies of the Doctor, are revealed to be behind it.
