I first learned of Anne Frank in junior school and thought it was interesting but never got round to reading the diary although in hindsight I probably would've have been too young to appreciate it. Anyway this past December I visited Amsterdam for the second time and decided to go to the musuem and when I got home I got the book. This book, in my opinion, should be read be every person on the planet, it makes you realise how easy you have it. She writes candidly about love, hate, likes, dislikes and the world and society with such great wisdom and depth that you forget she is only a teenage girl. This book is by far the greatest testament to human spirit and perseverance. It is tragic and uplifting in equal measure.

I love this book! To think that she could write as deep and as heartfelt as she did at her age is quite astounding. And reading her opening herself about all her desires and wishes for 'after the war' when i already know how her story ends, is truly heartbreaking.

the fact that a child of her age could write such a deep, descriptive account is astounding. I hope this lasts for all time

So glad Anne's diary has been reproduced, it deserves to be! An honest account of an ordinary teenage girls life with a heartbreaking twist that no one, least of all Anne, saw coming. Amazing read.
