A sexual sadist, the Zodiac's pleasure was torture and murder. He taunted the authorities with mocking notes telling where he would strike next. The official tally of his victims was six. He claimed 37 dead. He was never caught. This book tells the inside story of the hunt for the hooded killer, and finally reveals his possible true identity.

Exquisite detail and terrifying because its true

Top 100 Books Reviewer

Usually with biographies and accounts, the detail is sparse, as the author is writing retrospectively or pretending they actualy know something about the subject. But not with this book. Graysmith was part of the investigation and his insight and true accounts is both terrifying and relentless. No details left out. Its very analytical and methodical in its writing style, as Graysmith like the Police was and still is trying to determine Zodiac's true identity. This book is not biased and offers only the truth no matter how horrifying. An absolute classic.

Having seen the recent movie, i wanted to read the book to find out what the fuss was all about....the book is a good read and gave an insight that most films usually miss out on. A must read!
