Richard 'the Ice Man' Kuklinski led a double life, becoming one of the most notorious professional assassins in American history while hosting neighbourhood barbecues in suburban New Jersey. This work gives an insight into the mind of one of the world's most prolific contract killers.

This book is by far the best book regarding Mafia/underworld crime I have ever read. It seems to put you straight into the mind of Kuklinski. This book was hardly put down and i finished this within 2 days of reading it. This is a book that I will keep and read again and again. If you are a fan of true crime books this is the one to buy.

this is a brilliant book about about a contract killer; it begins by describing his childhood, and how he became obviously psychotic, and how he got in to the 'business' of murdering for money. the book talks about his marriages (mainly the second one) and children; and how he can be both a decent man who provides for his family, spends time with his daughter when she was ill in hospital, and buys his wife anything she desires; as well as a violent psychopath who tortures people to death for both money and enjoyment, who beats his wife, and has such a violent temper he has murdered people over arguments when playing pool. It gradually goes on to explain how the police finally caught up with him after many years and why he had been able to get away with so much for so long.
overall I thought this was an excellent book, and some parts can really make you cringe, when the author describes in gruesome detail how he tortured some of his victims.

this is the best book i have ever read, with regards to mafia contract killing etc. This book gives an amazing insight into the life and times of Richard Kuklinski, probably the most prollific and best contract killer in history. the book not only covers his contracts, but also his early life, his unusual mentality and amazing ability to emotionally deal with difficult situations. BUY THIS BOOK, i woulod happily have paid £20 for this book, its unlike anything else around, and you will not be disappointed
