This title features Introduction by the author Jim Lawless. '"The Ten Rules for Taming Tigers" is a re-structuring and a re-statement of truths that you already know. I didn't invent them, but I did observe them, experience them and experiment with them. And I have done my best to prove them by putting myself in a tricky spot with only the Ten Rules for company. I've now put them into a guide book which I hope is useful to you and gives the adversary in our heads a name - 'the Tiger'. Having had the privilege of being invited to speak about them around the world, at the time of writing, some seventy thousand people have heard about the "Rules for Taming Tigers" in a conference room. Many of them have now experienced and experimented with the Ten Rules themselves. You can read some of their stories in this book. We are creating a Hall of Fame at associated website for Tiger Tamers around the planet who have used these Rules to create exciting change for themselves and those around them. I find these stories the most compelling evidence that we're on to something worthwhile here. This is not a book about riding horses at speed, wonderful though that is.The stories from my journey to the racetrack are simply there to illustrate how powerful these little Rules are and to give you confidence that each and every one was understood, tested and refined before being written down and passed on to you. To add to that confidence, I am delighted to be able to include case studies written by people who were in a "Taming Tigers" audience or who came across the Ten Rules in other ways. We have carefully and intentionally chosen case studies from people who have done real personal battle with the Tiger rather than big business case studies because, at heart, that is what this book is about. If you would like to join with others from all walks of life who are working with these Ten Rules then please become a friend of "Taming Tigers on Facebook". There, if you wish, you can state what it is you are going to take on or to change, you can ask for assistance and inspiration, share things that you have discovered or simply watch and bide your time. There is another page dedicated to acknowledgments but this introduction would not be complete without stating that I didn't get to the racetrack alone. The Ten Rules caused me to meet some extraordinary people. Those people, along with the Rules, got me racing. Tiger taming never stops, of course. So I wish you every success with taming your Tigers and I hope you'll wish me the same with mine. Please tell us about your experiences to help us improve the Rules and to encourage others to make the leap' - Jim Lawless Dahab.
