I first off read this children's book myself as an adult and absolutely adored it. I've since bought it as a present for children, both girls and boys, aged about 10 and it's gone down very well. Morpurgo is one of our very best children's authors and it has lovely illustrations.

A great book to give a child.

thiis book is really good it takes in a young boy who feels lonely and that no one in the world cares for him and then an unlikely friendship between him and a lion cub makes him feel whole again very very capturing

My 10 year old daughter got this book as a christmas present.She is not normally into reading,there is normally somethink better to do,but was very keen to read this book to me as they had read it at school.
I also enjoyed this book and now my 12 year old is reading it.Would recomend this to anyone who enjoys a quick read.Lovely ending.
