5 Fab read for anyone of any age with ANY interestsmutinousangel | 19/11/2007 | See all mutinousangel's reviews (4)This is one of the best reads I've had in a long while....I read this while at work over the 6 weeks holidays and can honestly say that it's one of the most interesting slants on the Natzi holocaust that I've ever read.Anne Frank, her family, and one other family are all Jewish and hiding from the Natzi police in a secret annexe at the back of a warehouse. Various people help then to get by- food, ration books and essentials are purchased from the black market as the ever looming threat of death hangs above their heads. You may know all of this already from various history shows or lessons, but this book is much more than that. When you're finished reading this you'll feel like you know her, like you've clambered (strangley invited) into her mind. She goes into intimate detail concerning her feelings towards her family, her situation, boys (and girls..)... A great insight into the female mind!!She intended for her diaries to be sent out into the public, so the world could see what it was like for her, for people around her... the waiting, watching, listening...Best for: Girls, ages: 7-70!.... History enthusiasts: ANY!!.... Anyone witha general interest really!
