my three year old loved it too

my wife had these as a kid so she bought them for our 3yr old, he loved them, as an adult i was not looking forward to the endless hours reading childrens stories now we are past the short story age for my son but i have to admit i am enjoying the stories myself too. i even read some chapters on my own to catch up what i missed when my wife reads them to him when i am working so i would know what was going on so i could answer all my little lads questions as often the stories refer back to earlier adventures. A return to the age of innocence, no guns, lazers etc just great stories,
we just finished the second book called " the faraway tree" more great adventures as before and are just starting the 3rd and final book " the folks of the faraway tree" he is loving it, a welcome alternative to nintendo wii and playstation etc.

This was my childhood read and I thought of it the other day and remembered how I loved this book. The beautifully told fantasy tale is sure to inspire any creative juices a child has to offer. I have many fond memories of reading this with my father as we explored the mystical lands along with the characters, we soon became hooked and couldn't put the book down. Fantastic!
