This is a fantastic ghost story. An absolute classic. Dark and unnerving. Brilliant.
One of those books where it really drags out the process of describing a charaters surroundings in order to convey tension and suspense, but I felt that it was all a bit too long-winded, for my liking. I am however after reading the book looking forward to seeing the film, as I think the suspense the book is after will be conveyed on screen. Still worth a read, only 200 pages.
