Karl Pilkington isn't keen on travelling. Given the choice, he'll go on holiday to Devon or Wales or, at a push, eat English food on a package holiday in Majorca. Which isn't exactly Michael Palin, is it? So what happened when he was convinced by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant to go on an epic adventure to see the Seven Wonders of the World? Travel broadens the mind, right? You'd think so...Find out in Karl Pilkington's hilarious travel diaries.

This is by far Karl Pilkington's best and most brilliantly produced book so far. In hardback, with beautiful photos and drawing from Karl through out. At a brilliant price.

Karl Pilkington is the greatest human being to have ever lived and this is an essential purchase for any fan of the RICKY SMERCH & PILK universe

Great but things seems slightly different...

...to what we see on TV. Conversations he has with Stephen on the phone in Indian are written down some what different to how we see them happen on the TV. The locations visited are out of order on TV compared to how they start in the book. Also the toilet incident in Egypt he describes in the diary is quite a bit different to how he explains it on one of the recent podcasts, yet to see if they comment on it in the episode on TV as haven't got to that one yet.

Conspiracy, maybe? But I think it's more Karl doing what he always does. Takes something someone has told him and then repeats it back to you and it's nothing like what you said :)

Whatever it is, it's still funny and so is Karl.

 Genius

Have only recently discovered Karl Pilkington whilst watching the Idiot Abroad series on tv. Have become a huge, huge fan since then, now own the dvd and all of his books. His views are comic and the timing in which he delivers them are almost genius.

This book is very good, not as funny as the tv series but offers something different. Could be described as a light hearted, tongue-in-cheek travel guide and it does have some very funny moments.

Highly recommended.

Haven't laughed so much at a book.
