I got suggested to read this book after going on a customer service &sales course. It has not just helped me with handling customers better and avoiding disagreements and awkward situations, but has also helped me understand alot more about other people, &the best way to act &treat people to get what you want out of life. It doesnt just apply to customers, but applys to relationships, children, friends &enemys.
I would suggest everyone to read this book, i think it would make the world a better &easier place to live!
This book has sold 16 million copies. There should be 16 million truly amazing people walking this world.
If you want to have a go at being great read this book. The wisdom contained within is invaluable.
Its simple, and not hard to apply and if you are not lazy in actual application you will see results in a short time.
Btw the reason there are not 16 million amazing people around is because people see the chance to be great. To achieve great things but choose to sit and watch tv.
This Book Makes Use Of Stories To Understand The Meaning,It Has Helped Me And Improved My skills When I Communicate With People.Very Good.
Life changing book. Most of the suggestions (if not all) are not shocking and are at times quite common sense, but, it shows how personalities and emotion get in the way of rational thought. Reading this book is likely to make you better consciously aware as to when you are making poor decisions which involves people. Carnegie uses some fantastic examples throughout history to illustrate his points. The book has already changed how I interact with people, especially in hostile and challenging situations.
Despite being excellent, the book can be a bit repetitive at times, although I appreciate that's probably to nail the points home. I also think some of his suggestions are a bit simplistic. Each chapter is often around five pages and there is no room for discussion. Sometimes Carnegie raises more questions than answers.
However, these are nit-picks, and I don't think the book was intended to be a long and indeed protracted discussion. Nevertheless, that doesn't stop me from finding it a bit frustrating, at times.
Overall: Very good, but a little too simplistic for me to give it a 5 star.
4/5.
