However, when Anna reaches 13, she decides to sue her parents for never giving her a choice in her donations. Her mother is shocked and cannot believe what she is doing - her father realises he understands. It is a crucial time for Kate, who desperately needs a kidney from Anna and so not only does the court's decision depend on her rights in life, it also depends ON Kate's life.Fabulous book, well written, completely tragic but strangely uplifting. Recommend. Haven't seen film but shall make a point to do so now.
