Allen Carr's Easy Way for Women to Stop Smoking | Paperback

I bought this book a couple of weeks ago after an extremely unpleasant experience on Champix (prescribed by own Doctor). I was, as would be expected, a little dubious as to how a book could help you to stop smoking - but I can assure you, somehow, it does just that!! The book is a nice easy read and you will find yourself acknowledging and admitting to many of the comments made. You actually feel that Allen Carr knows you so well.... I have been a smoker since the age of 14 and after 26 years felt it was time to stop. I smoked approx 10 per day, not many you may think, but the quantity doesn't matter there was still a nicotine addicition. It took me about a week to read all the book and can now honestly say , hand on heart, I have not had a cigarette since. One thing I would say is that when reading the book you need an open mind and that you do want to stop smoking. Give it a go - it worked for me!

this is a very clever book, i knew i wanted to quit smoking but there was still a big part of me that didn't, there are no scarey stories about the big c to put you off smoking, he changes the way you feel and percieve smoking and makes you see it as it realy is, i read it twice because the first time i read it, i read it too quickly and didnt take everything in (even though i thought i had.) He keeps the rules nice and simple, i havent smoked for six months now and i would never go back, a must read!!

I am not a big reader and was convinced I would not absorb the information and content of this book, however I found it strangely relaxing it gave me time out whilst I continued with my smoking habits with no worries.
I read the book slowly over a period of 2 - 3 months trying to pick it up at least 3 times a week. At parts I thought yeh right this will never work and related to certain areas so closely i.e whilst chatting on the phone and smoking going to the pub etc, people even asked me "Did I want to give up?" in which I replied "No not really, if I do I'd like to become a social smoker!!"
After the 3 months approx. was up I actually took great delight in burning all my tobacco products ready for a clean start. It has been 18 months I havent put on any weight and have no desire whatsoever to light up !! So in my mind and from first hand experience the book is very very successfull !! Buy It !! Its cheaper than hypnotherapy!
