This is Andy McNab's gripping account of the time he served in the company of a remarkable group of men - from the day, freshly badged, he joined them in the Malayan jungle, to the day, ten years later, that he handed in his sand-coloured beret and started a new life. The links they forged then bound them inextricably together, but the things they saw and did during that time would take them all to breaking point - and some beyond - in the years that were to follow. He who dares doesn't always win...

From the pen of the man who invented the modern military memoir comes another storming battering ram of thrill-packed, unforgettable drama. Never-before-revealed operations and heartbreaking human stories combine to create a new classic of the genre and a book that takes us back to where it all began.

Excellent, this must be one of the best yet, it brought back some very happy memories of time gone by, having worked both Nish & Al in battalion, Andys portrayal of both these top men is spot on.
Once I picked up this book, it was difficult to put down.
My reccomendation is buy it read & I promise you will enjoy it.
Well done Andy, Keep em coming Pal

Another gripping account of McNab's life in the military but this time focusing on his years with "7 Troop"

This book features laughs and the intensity of modern war and what life is like after the military and in particular, the SAS (The world's original SF unit).

This book had new material and is not another version of "Immediate Action" or "Bravo Two Zero", although there are some bits in here from his original books.

A definate must*****

 Left me wanting more...

My initial thoughts before reading Seven Troop was to expect to read about some of the covert and overt operations that McNab and his fellow colleagues had undertaken... What I read was an up close and personal insight into the lives of Seven Troop and that the real fight wasn't against the enemy with guns and bullets, but the psychological emotions that pushed them to the limit and beyond.

Dedicated to four men that you'd wish you could call friends, it made me envy Andy McNab to have know them.

First of McNab's work Ive read, and Im glad to say Im glad I did! The book is great, and focuses on his time in "Seven Troop", the friendships and commaraderie forged in his 16 years services. With laughs, the intensity of the action it also has a deep message to get across to readers, and as McNab puts it "He who dares, doesnt always win" giving a moving insight to the effects such horror can have on soldiers...A must have really
