Elie Wiesel was fifteen years old when he and his family were deported by the Nazis to Auschwitz. After the war, Wiesel studied in Paris and later became a journalist. During an interview with the distinguished French writer, Francois Mauriac, he was persuaded to write about his experiences in the death camps.

This is a truely inspirational book born of ultimatey the most saddenning and sickening events that occurred during the 2nd world war.
A first hand account told by a survivor of the Nazi concentration camps, Elie Wiesel, tells how he overcame the most unbeliveable attrocities that you can only imagine and yet the Jewish people lived through during the time of nazi dictatorship and concentration camps. Had me in tears...
