Giving a frank account of his life, the author reveals what turned a once optimistic young man into this grumpy middle-aged git. It's a journey that takes him from a first gig as a ventriloquist's dummy, to working in an artificial leg factory and delivering incontinence pads for the NHS, before he finally ends up on stage at the Comedy Store.

Having recently read this book, I can say it's brilliant. It gives a real insight into the life of Jack Dee, not only presently, but before he became the 'real' Jack Dee.
There are parts that with literally make you laugh-out-loud. It's very cleverly written and suitable for most ages.
Jack Dee expresses his real opinions in this book, and it's a very different Jack Dee to that we see on TV. But this is explained why in the book so I won't ruin it for you!
A very good buy at an extremely reasonable price, so buy this book if you are a fanatic Jack Dee fan, or even if you're after a good read.
