Learn everything ukulele--from chord progressions to playing pop, folk, and holiday favorites--and, yes, even Hawaiian music! The ukulele is hot. The season one finale of Glee featured a ukulele. The recent hit song "Hey Soul Sister" by Train includes the dulcet tones of a uke.

 Get Book, Grab Uke, Play

I have a bad Ukulele book habit. I have bought many and have several hard drives worth of tuition videos. If only Al Wood had written this book earlier my kids might not be shoeless.

The book is great. It covers just about everything from scratch but not in an interminably detailed or boring manner. Chords, Strumming patterns, Finger picking and stylistic combinations of the above are all covered so that even a fat fingered plucker like myself can make their Uke sound good.

The style is engaging and clear, but you may well be familiar with it from the UkeHunt website if you are not then you probably do not have a Ukulele. Get one, get this book, play.

Good resource book for anyone looking to go beyond the basics.? But requires some study to gain maximum value from.? So would not recommend for children or casual learners.
