Motley Crue was the voice of a barely pubescent Generation X, the anointed high priests of the power ballad, and the pioneers of Hollywood glam. Their sex lives claimed celebrities like Heather Locklear and Pamela Anderson as well as teenage groupies all over the world. When they weren't appeasing their voracious sexual appetites, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil and Mick Mars cultivated their other interests - collecting automatic weapons, creating long and lurid rap sheets, doing every conceivable drug in every conceivable fashion and dreaming up backstage antics that would make Ozzy Osbourne blanch with modesty. Provocatively written and brilliantly designed, this book includes over 100 photos for the most insightful look ever into the Crue - the most infamous band in the world. The Dirt spent four weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and sold over 13,000 copies in hardback in the UK.

 Entertaining and revealing

Not exactly a literary milestone, but a brilliantly entertaining read nonetheless.

Charting the path of each individual band member's event-filled life, this book will allow you to make your own judgement on the character and morals (or lack of) of each man.

Expect the usual drug tales but not too many groupie-based recollections (most of the band are now married and obviously dont want to upset too many people), and look out for the charming warblings of Mick Mars.

'The Dirt' reveals the inner thoughts of four men who had it all, and lost it, only to get it back again.

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time, it goes from how they began to how they got famous to all the wildest rock n roll accounts that made Motley Crue who they are today. From Nikki Sixx almost dieing to Tommy Lee's women. A great price and u wont be disappointed.

too fast, too fast for love!
