During their heyday, Guns 'n' Roses sold over 20 million albums and performed sell-out gigs all over the world. Ten years since their last album and with only one original member remaining, they are still going strong. Features numerous interviews with and revelations about band members past and present (including ex lead guitarist Slash and bass player Duff). Written by a lifelong fan and featuring previously unseen photographs, this is the only current book on the band.

 awful read

As a long time G'N'R fan this was the worst book I have ever read about the band and in the end it becomes a book about Axl Rose instead of the whole thing. The guy repeats himself all the way through the book and makes loads of mistakes which he said was a printing error? hmmm, I thought it was just me having trouble reading it but I got talking to a friend who also said he had noticed the same when he read it. The facts are not 100% and I had also been to a couple of gigs the guy wrote about and he must have watched the highlights on the TV or just copied stuff from the newspapers co's the guy didn't have a clue. Buy it if you like rubbish books but if you wan't a real insight to the crazy G'N'R world buy slash's new book I couldn't put it down unlike this one which I wish I had put down after the first chapter.

A friend bought this book for me and within the first few chapters i was so bored, i read on but to no avail, i ended up putting the book down and never picking it up again. It's really badly written and some of the facts are wrong. I would highly reccomend Slash's autobiography which gives a much better insight into the life of GNR and is entertaining and brilliantly informative. :)
