Comment: This book is in good or better condition. It has no tears to the pages and no pages will be missing from the book. The spine of the book is still in great condition and the front cover is generally unmarked. It has signs of previous use but overall is in really nice, tight condition. Shipping is normally same day from our UK warehouse. We offer a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.

How can you measure the speed of light with chocolate and a microwave? Why do yo-yos yo-yo? Why does urine smell so peculiar after eating asparagus (includes helpful recipe)? How long does it take to digest different types of food? What is going on when you drop mentos in to cola? 100 wonderful, intriguing and entertaining scientific experiments which show scientific principles first hand - this is science at its most popular.

This book is the must have of the century. It not only contains inspirational experiments but also provides a thrilling experience for all involved! I would like to add that make sure the hamster is dead before fossilising it, as my younger sister is still very upset!

 Best in the series!

Last year I bought "Why Don't Penguins Feet Freeze?" for my dad's birthday and he was really greatfull, this year i couldn't think of anything better so just went for the 'sequel' and damn i'm I glad! The experiments involeved are so much fun and you don't need to be at all into science to get a laugh from this book... a great read and definately recomended for anyone.

I bought this as a Secret Santa gift. Coffee table book which is easy reading. Complete with experiments for the budding scientist, or those that have time on their hands.

 Wonderful reading

A great book, nothing less expected of New Scientist. I indulgently bought this for myself and have chuckled many times over it. You don't need to do the experiments, the narrative is more than sufficient.
Why don't we see more intelligent books in print, please??
