Defiantly worth reading, wonderfully portrayed characters and an intriguing plot if you want something fresh to read this is it.

Like most people, the first time I heard of Brandon Sanderson was when he was selected to complete the Wheel Of Time Series after Robert Jordans untimely passing. I thought I'd better check out this 'unknown' to see whether the WOT series was worth re-reading to catch up and continue with Mr Sandersons efforts. All I can say is that it was an inspired choice. Brandon Sanderson brings a breath of fresh air to a genre that can be very 'samey' and his own Mistborn trilogy is original and stunning. Well done Brandon! I look forward to your future projects with anticipation.

Top 100 Books Reviewer

Excellent epic fantasy from the man who will be putting the finishing touches to a wheel of time, Sanderson brings us original fantasy but with a new fresher taste to it, the magic element of the novels is well thought out and original, the plot interesting and fresh yet still feels as though you have read the like of it before and you are comfortable with it, good engaging characters although I feel this is one area he may need to work on a little before he can write a classic, just the right length and I did not want to put the book down at all at any time which counts for much, all round an interesting series which can mark Sandersons place on the map in his own right.
