'R' is a zombie. He has no name, no memories, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He is a little different from his fellow Dead. Amongst the ruins of an abandoned city, R meets a girl. Her name is Julie and she is the opposite of everything he knows - warm and bright and very much alive, she is a blast of colour in a dreary grey landscape.

I wasn't expecting the book to be from the zombie's point of view, but it was so good! A nice twist on zombie stories unlike anything I've read. Will be keeping an eye on this author.

 I loved this book...

Having read it around 3 weeks ago I find it rather odd I still keep thinking about it. Brilliant book and fantastic characters.

Brilliant book, could not put down!

This has to be one of the best books I've ever read. Written through 1st person perspective the story follows a Zombie called "R" as he realises there's more to his life than eating humans and randomly wandering his surroundings. Well written, thought provoking and totally unconvential I was engrossed and facinated by the viewpoint of an all to often overlooked character, the Zombie. And further to the 1st review, I do believe the same production company that made Twilight Saga films has picked up the rights to this book. I don't think a film will do this justice. A must read!!!

 Already a favourite

I'm not even halfway through and I can safely say that this is one of the best books I have ever read. Could not push this any more! Unfortunately, if it is a success, it'll be turned into a terrible movie...
