I've been a huge fan of the Southern Vampire Mysteries for a while now, and so when 'Dead in the Family' came out I was desperate to read it. I devoured it in a day and was massively disappointed, I said "she's lost it, that was terrible." So when my husband bought me 'Dead Reckoning' this week, I was reluctant to read it. Then curiosity got the better of me and I devoured it in a few hours. What a good book! I think Dead Reckoning is one of my favourite SVM books. There's action, mystery, suspense (I was actually holding my breath at several points) and lots of humour. 'Dead Reckoning' is most definitely a page-turner, and I can see myself reading it again several times before book 12 is released. Oh, and there's a nice mucky scene for fans who like that sort of thing ;)

 Brill

Just finished reading this (received yesterday couldnt put it down lol) glad to see that we're finally learning more about Sookie now but sad that there will only be 2 more books after this :'( . All in all this is a brill book to the series (like they all are!) All a must read if your into the True blood program.

I felt a bit let down by Dead in the Family but this was still a must read for me. This was Ms Harris back to her best - there was a good solid story behind it although I felt the book should have been longer - but this is only because I didn't want it to finish as I now have to wait months to find out what happens!!! All in all another brilliant chapter in Sookies life - I want to know what is going to happen with her love life now!!

 Harris back to her best!!

The Sookie Stackhouse series of books has to be my favourite ever and I have devoured each and every one . . until Book 10 which was very disappointing, unloved, and left me wondering could the author return to form after such a poor story. I am pleased to say YES SHE HAS!!
Book 11 is Harris at her best and you will not be able to put it down. I worried that when I pre-ordered it wouldn't live up to my high expectations but it really has. It is fast paced, exciting, chock full of action and left me wanting more . . . . the scene has been set for book 12 and it looks like it could well be amazing!! - Don't be put off if Book 10 let you down, Book 11 more than makes up for it :)

 Brilliant!

I have the entire series of Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood books and love them all. Dead Reckoning is no exception. From the 1st page i was hooked and couldn't put it down.
Charlaine Harris has such talent and brings each character and experience to life through her writing.
Can't wait for the next one, highly recommended to everyone!
