Things settle as Rand rebuilds, till the end

Top 100 Books Reviewer

Starting off again after the events of the last novel, Rand is mostly re-structering in this novel and moving here and there (which backfires later), Perrin is close by now and Matt has moved off to be with the 3 Aes Sedai (Egwene, Elayne and Nyavene) and co to Salidar, a lot of building up to the next couple of books is in this novel and it is very slow most of the way, but the ending is almost as epic as in the last novel and shows the lengths Rand has to go to now to defeat his enemies and sometimes even those he is trying to save, the series takes a downturn after this novel for a while but plenty is carried on here to keep you entertained until the big events return later in the series

 Fantastic!

As I said in another review, this is my favourite book in the series. There's alot of travelling here and there, viewpoints changing etc but stick with it - it's worth it. Perrin is back! after being absent in the previous book, Rands changing, Lews Therin is stiring, The Aes Sedai are scheming, and the forsaken are up to something. The writing is again as fantastic as in previous books, with everything being fully described, down to the gilding on a vase in a random corridor. Some people may be put off by all the description but Robert Jordans made a world and he wants people to see it how he sees it. If you've enjoyed the previous books then definately read this one as you're in for another treat. If at any time you feel like putting it down and moving on to something else, read it to the end and you'll be rewarded. "Asha'man, kill!"
