Comment: This book is in good or better condition. It has no tears to the pages and no pages will be missing from the book. The spine of the book is still in great condition and the front cover is generally unmarked. It has signs of previous use but overall is in really nice, tight condition. Shipping is normally same day from our UK warehouse. We offer a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.

Sequel to the extraordinary THE NAME OF THE WIND, THE WISE MAN'S FEAR is the second instalment of this superb fantasy trilogy from Patrick Rothfuss. This is the most exciting fantasy series since George R. R. Martin's A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE, and a must-read for all fans of HBO's GAME OF THRONES. Picking up the tale of Kvothe Kingkiller once again, we follow him into exile, into political intrigue, courtship, adventure, love and magic ...and further along the path that has turned Kvothe, the mightiest magician of his age, a legend in his own time, into Kote, the unassuming pub landlord. Packed with as much magic, adventure and home-grown drama as THE NAME OF THE WIND, this is a sequel in every way the equal to its predecessor and a must-read for all fantasy fans. Readable, engaging and gripping THE WISE MAN'S FEAR is the biggest and the best new fantasy novel out there.

I received this book yesterday after preordering from Play.com and i was not disappointed. First of all, it just looks amazing, the cover graphics and general size of the book adds to make it look very impressive indeed.

As soon as i opened the first page i was hooked straight back in to the story. The opening chapter begins exactly where Name of the Wind left off and lets you catch straight up with the storyline once more, whats more is that through subtle hints and dialogue you remember exactly what happened at the end of the first book without having to read page after page of recapping.
We also learn a bit more about "Kote" and the state of the present day world before being dragged feet first back into the life of Kvothe.

I am only about 100 pages in as of yet, but i can guarantee that if you loved The Name of the Wind then The Wise Man's Fear is an absolute must. My #1 Book of the Year already and it will take a heck of a lot to beat.

 Absolutely brilliant

I have read a lot of books. This however, is the best book. For your own sake, I beg you to read it. No other book has gotten me this emotionally attached to the characters and the story. Fantastic universe, easy to grasp, endless depth, brilliantly written.

Do yourself a favor and read this book

If you like the quality writting of Brent weeks, sanderson, Brett then this is one for you.

The characters have real depth, the settings are vivid and the tale is exceptional. The premise is that a man is telling the story of his life. He is doing it over three days. I wonder if Rothfuss will be able to fit in a few additional volumes after all there has to be the third day taking us up to how he came to run the inn. There has to be a further few telling us what happens then. Quite simply, and yes I appreciate this makes me sound like a fan boy but, this is a tale I do not want to stop.

 Almost Perfect

This novel improves upon it's predecessor in almost every way, and is definitely a 'must read' in my eyes.
If you happen to be reading this having not read the first book (The Name of The Wind) I strongly recommend that you purchase both, then wait eagerly for the third instalment with the rest of us.
