The author does assume that one should know certain aspects of the Asian culture as she write about them in the book, however her story is moving, chilling and compelling; I read the the book in 2 days, I just couldn't put it down until I had finished.
I thought this book was great, i didnt want it to finish!
Fantastically written story which really gives you an insight into the cultural difficulties westernised Asian young people face in society today. A must read for anyone offering support to young people facing serious cultural issues such as forced marriage. After reading this book, I feel much more prepared to empathise with and offer support to girls in the same situation as Jasvinder. ******** FANTASTIC!!!********
