Andy Nicholls, a streetwise Evertonian with a wicked sense of humour, caused a furore with the hardback release of Scally, and this mass-market edition is set to sell even better. As a category C football hooligan - the highest rating of the National Football Intelligence Unit - Nicholls was involved in some of the most notorious clashes of the past 30 years. His remarkably candid autobiography recounts everything from his involvement with such gangs as Kelly's Heroes, the Snorty Forty, the Country Road Cutters, to his appearance on the front page of The Sun.

 Surprisingly interesting

Of course being an Everton fan I would take a keen interest in anything connected with the club. Like most people who have bought hooligan books about their club you feel you need to read on and it's exactly what happened in this case. I knew the roads Andy was talking about, I could picture it in my head. It's an honest account on an issue which was massive in the 70's and 80's. Well worth a read to anyone who has an interest in this genre of book.

 EXCELLENT!

Just finished reading Scally and it is an excellent read from start to finish. Some of the things these guys got upto it just does'nt bear thinking about, i think its told truthfully compared with other books i've read on this subject, its quite funny in places to.

I must admit this is a great read and as a "scarfer" at everton i was at most of the games mentioned and can confirm what is written and what i saw is all true.Unlike Cass Penneant s tales.

 Again, Surprisingly Interesting!

After reading a couple of Man City hooligan books, I decided to branch out. Cass Pennant, well what a waste of space his books are awful so sadly I was put off for a while until this little gem came my way. It is a fantastic read and although I have no criminal career I couldn't help smiling at some of the naughty things this man had done! It is gritty, honest and intruiging, well worth a read.
