This heart-wrenching memoir from Toni Maguire tells the deeply moving story of an idyllic childhood that masked a terrible truth. Underneath her mother's gentility and her father's roguish charm lay horrifying secrets, which eventually led to their only child's near destruction.

This book has to be one of the best books i have ever read. It is a compelling story and had me in tears at some of the things that occured. I am so glad i chose to read this book, it had me asking myself so many questions like how could a someone be so blinded by love for someone as Toni's mother was blinded by her love for Toni's father. This is a well written book which i struggled to put down and always wanted to continue reading. Is is truely an inspiring story!

 Unmissable

Shocking, upsetting, heartbreaking. Just some of the words I'd use to describe this story. Extremely good read.
