2012 will be the year of the Olympics, and to celebrate, Guinness World Records 2012 unveils its most thrilling edition yet, with a dynamic new "widescreen" design, thousands of new and classic records, never-before-seen photos and an exciting selection of new topics and features.

New topics and themes include: Apex Predators, Tough Guys, Dangerous Endeavours, Social Media, Battleships, Collectable Card Gaming, TV Action Heroes, Fashion, Most Dangerous Records Ever, The Oil Industry and World Cinema. Plus, meet the pioneers - the new generation of young men and women who are pushing the boundaries of human achievement... on land, air, ice and sea.

And there's more! This year's edition delves deeper into each record to bring you the anecdotes and trivia behind the records in new Fact-File spreads and trivia boxes. There are also "fact snakes" wiggling their way around some of the images with a wealth of fascinating facts.

 A recommended favourite for xmas

This was on my nephews xmas list so volunteered to get it for him. It was as interesting as ever and still full of great facts.and records. Its been years since I saw one of these myself and it has been modernised with more graphics/pics to bring it into the modern era. Recommend to buy at sale price (8.99) as the full price of (20.00) is too steep imho. Free delivery too so again another great buy.

Does exactly what it says on the cover!
