This work provides a clear, straightforward treatise on Buddhism in general and awareness in particular - the book is all about being "awake" and in touch with what is going on here and now. The author's observations and insights are plain, practical and down-to-earth and deal exclusively with the present, not with theory, speculation or belief in some far-off time or place. This book should be of interest to anyone wanting to discover (or rediscover) the essence of Buddhism in accessible language, free of all the trappings and religious ritual.

It really manages to take the religion that is Buddhism, and gives you an in depth insight into the belief system behind it without cluttering it with lots of symbolism and general belief that isn't as relevant in todays world. All in all it promotes truth and knowledge over belief in a way that really makes you say "wow, thats really how it is". Anyone who is interested in belief systems, expanding their knowledge and understanding or just wants a really interesting and fulfilling read this is a book you should try.
