In the sequel to Russell's best-selling biography 'My Booky Wook' we follow the now sober but still scandalous, sex-fuelled star on his electrifying rise to international fame. A roller coaster ride through tours, films, stand up and tabloids - this time, it's personal.

So begins Russell Brand's electrifying memoir of his rapid ascent into the upper realms of fame. Rarely has a sequel delivered on the promise of the original with such literary and comic gusto. In My Booky Wook 2: This Time It's Personal, Russell Brand takes off where his international best-seller My Booky Wook left off. Brand is sober and, after dedicating his life and compromising his sanity in the pursuit of fame, he has had his first taste of national notoriety. Does fame bring happiness and inner peace? Not exactly, but it does mean a lot of sex. It also ushers in an unforgettable and raucous ride through chat shows, tabloid scandals, and Hollywood, all the while detailing Brand's search for the contentment that fame can't quite grant. My Booky Wook 2 is a 'celebrity memoir' unlike any you've read before: more clever and inventive than ever, Russell Brand explores the consequences of massive stardom just as he demonstrates the power of language and wit to make sense of it all.

As a big fan of the original "Booky Wook" i had long awaited the release of a second installment of belly laughs from Mr. Brand. I can honestly say i enjoyed this book thoroughly and think that Brand has a way of submerging the viewer into his world and way of thought, with writing that makes you truly believe you are experiencing these memories as you read them.
I would highly recommend these memoirs to any fans of "Ol' Rusty" or indeed anyone who enjoys a good laugh and a great story.
Give it a go!

 Quite like the first one.

This book carries on from where the first one left off. It starts in around 2006 just before he became well known and lets you have some insight into what he got up to on his travels to his current celebrity status.

Dont judge a book by its cover!

Im not entirely sure what Rusty Brown was thinking when he Okayed the cover for this book but dont let it put you off, whats written on them there slices of paper is pure mucking genius.

 Bit of a let down

The first Booky Wook was one of my favourite books ever. Full of scandal and laugh out loud moments. With this in mind I was very excited to read Booky Wook 2. To be honest though It was a bit of a letdown. Most of the stories and jokes have been lifted straight from his stand up gigs and his radio shows. If you are already a Russell fan you wont learn much new from reading this. It seems to just go through the motions and gets to a point where you know whats coming next.

It is still a good read with some good moments but nowhere near as good as his first book
