I have just finished reading this book by Patrick Swayze and his wife Lisa Niemi. It was written so well that I could not put the book down. Through this book one can have a clearer idea of who was Patrick Swayze. I think he was an amazingly modest and down to earth person.
In the beginning of the book, one learns how Patrick Swayze realised there was something wrong and how he discovered he was suffering from pancreatic cancer. After that the book takes you back in time to when he was a kid and describes his everyday life plus a few experiences which changed him. He describes his movies and why he wanted to play certain roles rather than others. He also describes the great love he has for his wife.
Patrick Swayze was a courageous person who tried to do his best in everything he did.
The world has suffered the loss of one of it's brightest stars.
Received this book on Sept 26th and had finished reading it on Sunday Sept 27th it was an easy book to read both funny and sad it was a lovely read and it came across how important family and his wife were to him all through his life a true inspiration and it was very sad how he died a true gentleman
I have just finished reading this book, I am not someone that reads but I love Patrick Swayze and felt I didn't really know him. I was so taken back with this book, I could not put it down until I finished it. I was on holiday but didn't want to get involved with anything but this book. What a truly inspirational couple, through good times and bad and what a brave, courageous guy, I love you more now Patrick and feel I now know you, what a loss to dance, singing and acting world, I want to get all his films, books and cd's. Not to forget Lisa what a wonderful lady she is... god bless you both
As a child my Mum took me to see Dirty Dancing and I have been in awe of Patrick Swayze ever since...I got this book as a Christmas gift. I have to say I have loved reading it and getting to understand the man and his greatest love was and always will be his lovely wife Lisa...I would really recommend this to anyone
I have always been a fan of Patrick Swayze but this book made me love him even more, and indeed his lovely wife Lisa who I didn't really know much about before reading this book. What a talented and inspiring couple. This book is a real credit to Patrick's memory and the love he had for his wife. What a great guy.
