Cassie was just a little girl who wanted to be loved. Betrayed by her mother in the most horrific manner, and abused by her 'uncle', she had to fight to survive the demons of her past.

Top 100 Music Reviewer

The true story of a little girl with a mother to hate. For some reason, the mother doesn't explain why,the mother hates Cassie and makes it clear that she isn't loved like the other kids.
Cassie's father shows love and affection for her,but he's so docile,so timid, that he won't stand up to the mother, which gets frustrating for the reader, but i guess you never truely understand a situation unless you're there.
Cassie does have a seemingly nice uncle who she adores for a while, but he soon shows his true colours and becomes detestable. So now Cassie must put up with the mother's lack of love and abundance of verbal abuse, with some physical, aswell as the sexual abuse from the pervert she calls uncle.
A disturbing story for sure,as the abuse, power control and mind games etc... goes on to her early twenties.
It's another book to get men feeling ashamed for being that sex,but this isn't an attack on them,it's just an honest account of what world she was living in.
This is grippingly written,as we find out just where her life went and what secrets destroyed her life further. Of course books of this ilk are upsetting to read,i am not ashamed to say i was teary eyed reading the nasty parts of this, many will cry loads over Cassie's disturbing life,i'm sure.
But this is a must read to understand the kind of world victim's like Cassie have to enjure and i thank her for sharing this brutal truth.
It appears she went one to have a happier life and i honestly hope it stays that way. All the best Cassie, and remember, you are loved.

Brilliant read, havent been able to put it down!
