A Little Lacking, But Still In The Top League Of Fantasy

Another well developed and written novel by Branson Sanderson who is fast becoming one of the top names in Epic Fantasy, as with the first novel the magic systems and plot develop well, but with the characters their seems to have been a void left as Kelsier, one of the central characters to the first novel, was killed in the last novel, Vin and Elend were designed to pick up from where he left off but they dont quite hit the same notes for me and no one else fills this void either, in regards Vin and Elend also their dialogue and also their driving of the plot is not as strong as with Kelsier, in other areas though the plot is very well managed especially with the insight into the Lord Ruler and his followers, the kandra and a mysterious assassin who seems to be following Vin wherever she goes, can Vin find out who he is and what he is hiding.

Love Epic Fantasy? Then read Brandon Sandersons Mistborn Tri

Like most people, the first time I heard of Brandon Sanderson was when he was selected to complete the Wheel Of Time Series after Robert Jordans untimely passing. I thought I'd better check out this 'unknown' to see whether the WOT series was worth re-reading to catch up and continue with Mr Sandersons efforts. All I can say is that it was an inspired choice. Brandon Sanderson brings a breath of fresh air to a genre that can be very 'samey' and his own Mistborn trilogy is original and stunning. Well done Brandon! I look forward to your future projects with anticipation.
