Three tons of Saddam Hussein's gold in an unguarded warehouse in Dubai...For two of Nick Stone's closest ex-SAS comrades, it was to have been the perfect, victimless crime. But when they're double-crossed and the robbery goes devastatingly wrong, only Stone can identify his friends' killer and track him down...As one harrowing piece of the complex and sinister jigsaw slots into another, Stone's quest for vengeance becomes a journey to the heart of a chilling conspiracy, to which he and the beautiful Russian investigative journalist with whom he has become ensnared unwittingly hold the key. Ticking like a time-bomb, brimming with terror and threat, Andy McNab's latest Nick Stone adventure is a high-voltage story of corruption, cover-up and blistering suspense - the master thriller writer at his electrifying, unputdownable best.

Well I was bought this for christmas and I hardly ever read books, especially books of this size, however as soon as my eyes hit the pages I was simply glued to it!
It took me 41 days to complete it in my free time and I'm reading it again because it was so good! This is a definite buy to anyone of a good war thriller or Andy Mcnab fan, as I am now a new fan to his collection, I plan on getting the entire collection now simply because of this 1 book!

after reading all of andy mcnabs books, and all the nick stone thrillers i was left dissapointed with this one. all the rest i couldnt put down but to me this lacked something. there wasnt as much action in this with all the nitty gritty detail that andy mcnab is known for. i do hope this isnt the end for such a good story line.

 I've read better

I got this for christmas and started reading it then, im still reading it now because I just cant get in to it. The beggining of the book is great it just lacks violence and action, the book itself has been well written but if your violence, action thriller reader who wants to see a lot of action I would'nt recommend this one. I got in to it straight away but after getting through half way it just started to drift and nothing really happens and I started to get bored, I really want to finish it but I rarely pick it up anymore, quite dissapointed.

 Going through the motions

I started reading Andy Mc nab from the start and have loved the nick stone adventures i'm just a little worried that there just seemed to be a hurried feel about the book the usual tradecraft we expect wasn't there action, violence i was left disappointed i got the feeling he is winding up the character hope not but wouldn't surprise me like his character nick stone made his money time to hang up his boots we shall see.
