5 A sobering monumentClarkeyy | 15/04/2010 | See all Clarkeyy's reviews (41)Top 100 Reviewer Top 100 Games Reviewer It's a simple story of a man and his son wandering the desolate road looking for a better life in a post apocalyptic America, ugly and ravaged. The book is sobering and oppressive with the final effect emotionally shattering. The characterisation is diligently profound and the relationship between Father and Son is incredibly emotive. It makes other modern novels look infantile. It's heavy, but you will feel better for having read it, a true masterpiece.
