As a wrestling fan in the 90s when I saw this I thought why not. I've always wanted to know what really happened at Survivor series with Shawn and Vince and this book delivers exactly what I wanted to read. A really honest and open account of years working in a crazy profession perhaps the ommission of the death Chris Beniot speaks volumes for how honest an approach this bio is where perhaps many would have wanted to discuss it.

An excellent read, giving a full and interesting outlook at what really went on through a career of the arts most respected professional. A must read for anyone who has ever watched Wrestling.

 The Best there is.

I bought this book 2 years ago when It was released in Canada. its brilliant. tells a very grim but true story about the wrestling world and sheds some truth on some of the rumours that had been going around.

2 years ago I asked Bret to sign my copy. my legs were practically shaking!

for the older and the younger fans, great read.

i'm 31 and watched wwf in the early years and forgot all about it. till i was told to give it a read. and im so glad i did, i nearly but it on the self after 2 chapters because i thought it was another long winded bio about everything and nothing. HOW WRONG I WAS this is well up there with my fav books. if you ever watched wwf as a kid in the 80s i promise you will enjoy this book. very honest and open. ENJOY. The Bret Hart Story: The Best There Is, Was, and Ever Will Be.

Fantastic read this one. It's honest, almost too honest in parts, but a really well-written and thorough book that I'm happy to say, managed to add to my esteem for the Hitman Bret Hart. This could have been so cheap, and just brushed on many subjects, but it hit a lot of them hard and I really, really appreciate how candid Hart hit some of the topics.

Good to read about his beginnings also, love reading about old wrestling when the wrestlers we grew up with were just becoming stars themselves.

It's long too, a good 650 or so pages, the majority of which seem true to Bret and he tells some great stories and tells of his feeling during major incidents in his life and career.

Very worthwile book, and for less than a fiver, you don't get any better.
