Dan Breen started the War of Independence. He was the leader of the Third Tipperary Brigade and he sustained 22 bullet wounds evading the British. After the War of Independence, he fought in the Civil War, taking the Republican side when it was obvious that the two sides could not be reconciled. This is his biography.

This is a very good and intresting story but i cant help get the feeling that the author has over romanticised it a bit and thats why im only giving it 3/5. If you have an intrest in the conflict in ireland then its worth a read as it is an intresting story
