With 'At Home' Bryson delivers yet another lovely read. Locating itself somewhere between popular history and social history Bryson's lively, annecdotal and humourous turn of phrase kept me thoroughly engaged from start to finish.
A sure fire winner with any Bryson fan and one for anyone with an interest in social history, industrial history and the evolution of the home. Bryson describes the home as the place where history ends up and after reading this book I think he has a strong case.
Great fun. A must.
