Having read a lot of music biographies, this has to be one of the best. It pulls no punches, it is a great story, honest, sad & most of all funny. Many great laugh out loud moments. The book reads as if Ozzy was sitting down with you having a chat and just telling you a story. I would like to know though, how on earth he remembers such detail, when he was clearly off his chops most of the time. Great read though.

I read this book in about 3 nights because I couldn't put it down, I laughed out loud every few pages.
This book has everything in it, humour, violence, drugs, sex, music, history, an insight in to the failings of the "Education System" - many different types of relationships, and more: but this book leaves you with a family who have been through hell, and still love each other.

I felt more human for my own failings when I read that Ozzy and Sharon have gone through similar things.

I love this book.

Superb read and up there with Evil Spirits (Oliver Reed) and Dear Boy (Keith Moon) as one of the best bios I have ever read. Ozzy is no saint, wife beating, every substance known to man, sex, rock and roll excesses. However Ozzy does regret parts of his life and because of this, it makes for a great read. I could not put this book down.

a truly great man and a great book...

What I have to say about this book is that " you can never judge a book from its cover " .. Very nice man, sadly having addictions but always loved his family ..

  A must-read! Simply excellent.

This is, without a doubt, the most honest and shocking biography I have ever read. At times it was so hilarious that I woke my wife while she was asleep.

At other times you see the sadness and the pain that drugs and alcohol can cause, and tears will surely flood your eyes. The hurt that children suffer as their father comes across as an idiot or alcoholic.

A simple straight-forward story of a (then)wannabe singer who started out with nothing except a grim determination to succeed and finished up with more than he could ever imagine. The lifestyle and excesses of Ozzy might not be to everyone's taste, but it is important to know his side of the story.

His bingeing is legendary, as is his love for his wife Sharon, and the never-ending sadness for the loss of Randy Rhoads.. And of course his love for music, which gave so many dreams (and nightmares) to all those who saw meaning in his lyrics.

And naturally, genuine regret for his actions...

This is a book that should be made compulsory reading.

Best autobiography I ever read...and I've got a lot of those under my belt.

  Excellent read

Really good read! It's a wonder how Ozzy is still alive but his life has been full of interesting things to read about. Funny and sad at the same time. Would deffo recommend.
