Phantom | Paperback

I started watching the TV series of The Vampire Diaries, when I found out there were books too, I just had to get them! The books are very different to the TV series however they are all a great read! I couldn't put the books down once starting to read and I had to buy them all, highly recommend!

This is the first time i have written a review, I felt I had to let all Vampire diaries fans like myself know this book is not vampire diaries standard at all! I have read all the books and always read cover to cover before putting them down. The Phantom i started and then couldn't finish the story is so boring, I started it again a week later just to make sure that it doesn't get better, there's no details all the characters are not what they should be. Damons coming back to life was meant to be a big story but instead its no big deal. Bonnie and Damon are not talked about. I wish L J Smith had continued writing the books, I will not be buying the next one, unless of course Ms Smith writes them!

There are lots of changes, for example, Meredith Suarez instead of Meredith Sulez, making Mrs Flowers around 60 years younger than the previous books, omitting Cristian except for one mention (where his name is spellt differently), changing it so that Caroline is pregnant with only one baby, not two, like the previous book and making the Originals phantoms and vampires. Those are some of the irregularities that did not make this a good read for me, being an avid 'Vampire Diaries' fan. If i didnt feel obligated, I wouldn't read the rest of the series. Very disappointed with my 'birthday' read!!!

I've been following though the whole series and this is the perfect addition, every book has a new origional thrilling story and this one lived up to it perfectly !
