The life of Lee is an amazing book. I literally could and would not put this down. He writes so honestly, and emotively. As a fan of Lee already I knew about his rise to fame, but little of his youth. If you are a fan, this is a must read, but only covers his young years, to his first taste of fame at 18. Still contains hilarious and also very sad moments of his life. Loved it.

  A Little Disappointed.

The Life Of Lee is the autobiography of comedian Lee Evans. The book follows his life from childhood until the age of 18 and his first big break as a comedian.

Lee Evans is a genuine down to Earth guy and that comes accross in the book. Evans is very honest about his working class upcoming and writes with great self depreciation and modesty.

What disappointed me personally with this book is that it ends just as it starts getting interesting. This book only details his childhood and teen years. It does not tell the story of Evans rise to fame.

I was hoping to read about how Evans became one of the biggest comedians in the world or how he found living life as a Hollywood actor. Sadly there is none of that here.

This is a good book but Evans had a pretty normal childhood and its not the most exciting read. If like me you want to hear about his rise to fame then my guess is we will have to wait for a second book which will undoubtedly arrive in few years.

As a huge Lee Evans fan I HAD to get this book! It was so good I managed to read the whole thing in a few days, it's open, witty and honest and makes his on stage antics all become clear after reading this, can't wait to see if he releases another book after this!

This book follows Lee through his first 18 years with time on the council estate he lived on, travelling the country with his performer father, his school years and meeting the love of his life.

Sometimes heartwarming and sometime heartbreaking this is a brilliant story of someone who thought they were nothing but became a big something.
