A description of life in the Easy Company, 101st Airborne Division, US Army, from the time of their rigorous training in Georgia in 1942 to D-Day and victory. Drawing on interviews, journals and letters, the author tells - often in their own words - the story of these American heroes.

A truly awesome account of some of the most pivotal battles of WWII. Through the eyes of the guys that were there. The book illustrates the characters from training at Toccoa through to the capture of Hitlers Eagles Nest fortress at Berchtesgarten. The authors compilation of letters and accounts details each operation and incident in full technicolour. Every detail described in bullet piercing, bone shattering precision. I watched the series on TV when band of brothers was on the box... Only now, deciding to read the book. In my opinion, the only way the get the full impact of Easy companies hugely incredible achievements is to read each chapter and then watch the DVD box set simultaneously. Absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Inspiring

An inspiring book, and part of me almost feels I prefered the book to the TV series, simply because there is more information crammed into the book. I have read the book three times thoghu and never get bored of it, a must-read, ESPECIALLY if you have seen the TV series!
Amazing
