This book isn't a best seller for nothing, the story is very gripping and well written. I read part one friday evening and then read the rest of the book to following day. I never read a book in so little time before. Usually I just can't be bothered with writing a review for a book but I couldn't recommend it enough. Buy it you won't regret it for sure!

What a great book, Wow !, and this is a debut novel also. Quite simply i cannot speak highly enough of this novel. I haven't enjoyed a book so much since "One Day" and the "Steig Larson" Trilogy. This book kept me so gripped i could not put it down and read the entire book in two sittings which is unusual for me, i simply had to know what was going to happen to Christine.

Simply the story is this: Christine awakes every morning having no knowledge of who she is, where she is, or anyone around her, each day she is told the same information from her husband she awakes next to; she had an accident years ago and has lost her memory, only to wake the following morning and not remember a thing. Christine starts to keep a journal as recommended by Dr Nash whom has been helping her, of all that happens to her each day, but each day has to be reminded to read it by Dr Nash not knowing what it contains. I won't give anything away as this would spoil the book all i will say is nothing is as it seems !

Please read this book, it's brilliant Ridley Scott has already signed the rights for a film, but read the book first. GREAT STUFF!!!

It's been a while since I've read a book that was quite as gripping as 'Before I Go to Sleep' or one that I have been looking forward to coming back to reading. This book compelling me the whole way through and richly deserves all the praise it has received. And now I have finished, I want to go back and start it all over again.

This book was given to me as a present and isnt something I would normally pick up to read however i thought i would give it a go, Im so glad I did!!! I read this book in two days and couldnt put it down the story line had me gripped from the very begining and all I wanted was to find out was Christines story. I dont want to ruin it for anyone and i feel some reviews give away to much of the story, but Christine awakes everyday with no memory and has to be told of most of her adult life. The story twists and turns and follows her on a journey to try to remember her past. I never saw the ending coming which is one of the reasons its so great. A thriller which had my heart beating so fast, a true connection to the lead character christine a wonderfully written book.

A must read for everyone please buy this book you will not regret it!!!

... Serious, this one grips you from the start. You know something isn't quite right just from reading the blurb.
Some people have suggested they predicted the ending from the start, but I don't have a crystal ball and I couldn't see the ending coming at all.
This would make a great holiday read because it's easily readable in a day or two

If the blurb isn't enough to entice you the first few pages certainly are. You are drawn into Christine's world and seeing it through her eyes, experiencing her day to day battles with something we take for granted everyday.

Imagine waking up and not knowing your husband, your house, your own body or face. This is how it is for Christine everyday until she secretly gets help from a doctor and learns how to start finding herself a little everyday only for it to be wiped out when she goes to sleep.

Christine goes through some tests and ideas with the doctor and starts using a diary to try and keep track of her days and her life everyday as she doesn't remember it.

It is a powerful, moving and great paced story. I literally did not want to put it down to find out what happened. How can it go anywhere as she never remembers anything? Doubting characters as she does one day and then loving them the next. It is a rollercoaster ride of emotions and a fabulously written novel. I am so surprised that this is a debut, I loved so much about it and can't give my fav bits away as it would turn this into a spoiler review which I don't want. Suffice to say it is an amazing read, I loved it. Witty, emotional, brave and so easy to read and fall into. 5/5 for me

bought this book last year in hard back, and i can honestly say it is one of the best books i have read in a long time. From first to last page, the whole idea of how she copes with no memory of the day before is absolutly brilliant.

Sorry to be the odd one out, but having acquired this very cheaply and not being aware of its reputation I found that I could not get into it at all. I was even more surprised therefore to find it so highly regarded by many others. Perhaps it just doesn't suit me and I have to admit that I have not finished it as I have found that far from being gripping, it was somewhat tedious and slow.

I can enjoy measured and well written literature (and I am certainly not saying that it is not well written), but it certainly did not do it for me. It may be that as it is written from the perspective of a woman and deals with her relationship with the husband she doesn't remember she has, it is less suited to a male readership.

Whatever it is, I regret that it didn't suit me and I would caution somewhat against the universal praise that it appears to engender. If it is your kind of book, I am sure it will deliver, but it will not suit all tastes.
