After reading this book i couldn't get it out of my head how brilliant it was and straight away read the next installment of the series, i was hooked from the very start, the book is brilliantly written, has great characters and is addictive you won't want to put it down. Im a huge Twilight fan but now it has some serious competition.

  Brilliant read

Everything is 'even better' than Twilight and this book is certainly no exception. The story is engaging, the characters are brilliantly crafted and to top it all off: it's all about the werewolves and not vampires for once!

  Excellent read

In total agreement with other reviewers, this book was great, going to continue on with the series.... would highly recommend it, and if you havent yet read the true blood books they are the business too...xx

I read the Twilight saga last year, and had been looking for a similar read that came up to its standards, but in fact i would say this is even better.
It has a grown up feel and i couldn't help getting involved with the characters and the story, so much so that i felt i couldn't put it down!
I went straight online and bought the next one the minute i had finished it.

This book is a great start to a great series of books. I would definately recommend this to friends, and if i were you when you buy this one, buy the next one aswell so you dont have to wait to keep reading!

The main character elena is a very sassy, confident woman, which is quite refreshing, as most females in these type of books tend to be always on the lookout for a big, strong male to come rescue them, but this lady can hold her own, and then some !

Also, if you enjoyed this you should try 'The Black Dagger Brotherhood' series by J.R.Ward (fantasticly sexy vampire warriors, fighting evil in new york),
& 'Nightkeepers' and 'Dawnkeepers' by Jessica Andersen, mayan based series about magical warriors trying to stop the world from ending in 2012. They are both must reads in my opinion!

This is a fantastic debut novel. Excentlly written and executed by the lead character elena. This book is not just about the supernatural. its a fantastic web of plots and relationships entwined between the characters. This book is absolutely addictive and i would recommend to anyone.

This book is the first of the series. I highly reccomend it. I have now read all of Kelly Armstrong's books including her online ficton on her web site. I haven't read a bad one yet. The only draw back is waiting for the next one to be released!
