Great book shows the real harsh reality of war. Mark bowden is a fantastic author. Its gripping from the first chapter all the way towards the end. If theres one war book you buy in your life make sure its this book because its fantastic what these young men did during the raid in east africa somalia 1993

This is a very good book, I am a big fan of the film and was worried that the book wouldnt be as good as I had seen the film. However there is so much more detail and the way it is written is very gripping. It is truely amazing what those soldiers went through.

i had my head in this book for hours on end and i just didnt want to put it down and i was very dissapointed when i finished reading it because i wanted it to just keeo going.
for me it is much better than the film because it goes more into detail about characters and their backgrounds
and Mark Bowden is an excellent author. the way he explains things is excellent and he really does put a vivid image in your head about wot happedned in somalia
